NYC Marathon Tracker 2026: Find Runners and Official Results

Use New York Road Runners’ own links to follow participants and locate results from the November 1 race.

The official starting point for a 2026 NYC Marathon tracker is New York Road Runners. Its marathon website links to the NYRR app and the information for the November 1 event, while the organization's results portal provides a separate route to published race results.

That distinction is useful as race day progresses. A tracking display helps a supporter follow a participant during the event. A result is the record to consult when looking up the performance afterward. Check which one you are viewing before sharing a time.

Get the app through the organizer

NYRR's app and tracking page provides links to the Apple App Store and Google Play. The organizer lists runner tracking, live leaderboards and event livestreams among its features. It also describes a Follow option that can carry a runner-following choice across future events.

Start from that official page to identify the intended app. Similar-looking search results and an old event title can create unnecessary confusion when someone is trying to find a family member quickly.

Within the event information, confirm the year and match the participant details carefully. If more than one person has a similar name, compare the available identifying race information before assuming you have found the right runner. Keeping the participant's own race details handy makes that check easier.

Move from tracking to results

The 2026 event page includes runner-tracking and results information. Follow the organizer's links for the relevant record rather than treating a screenshot shared earlier in the day as a permanent final result.

If a record is marked preliminary or unofficial, preserve that label when sharing it. Check the event selected in the results system and read the labels attached to each time. A race clock, an individual's elapsed time and a display estimate should not be assumed interchangeable without looking at what the system says it is showing.

When an entry appears incomplete, the first step is to check the organizer's current information and support guidance. A missing update on a screen does not, by itself, establish what happened to a participant.

Keep the runner and the headline race separate

Someone searching for a friend needs that participant's record. Someone seeking the elite winners needs the professional race results. They are parts of the same event, but they answer different questions.

For the leading finishes, read Taken Social's 2026 NYC Marathon results report. For an individual lookup, return to NYRR's app or results links and confirm the correct event and runner. That route keeps a supportive message or shared result attached to the right person and the right race.
