Houston is showing its love for Taylor Swift in a big way. As the pop star prepares to perform her sold-out The Eras Tour concerts at NRG Stadium, the City of Houston has announced that City Hall will light up in a Lavender Haze starting at dusk for all three evenings. The song "Lavender Haze" was written by Swift and included in her tenth studio album "Midnights" released in 2022.

In addition to the tribute, Houston has also renamed the stadium NRG Stadium (Taylor's Version), with banners placed at the venue's north and south entrances. Two Houston radio stations have also temporarily changed their names to welcome Swift to town.

Officials have invited Swifties attending the shows to ride the newly rebranded METRORail Red Line (Taylor's Version) and experience Houston's love for the singer. Swift's mother, Andrea, grew up in Houston and also attended Memorial High School.

Houston's love for Taylor Swift was further evidenced as thousands of fans lined up outside NRG for hours just to get their hands on some exclusive The Eras Tour merchandise.
