The co-founder of mobile payment service Cash App, Bob Lee, died after being stabbed multiple times, with injuries to his heart and lung, as disclosed in a recent autopsy report from the San Francisco medical examiner's office. The incident occurred on April 4 in the Rincon Hill neighborhood of San Francisco.

A toxicology report revealed the presence of cocaine, ketamine, and alcohol in Lee's system at the time of the stabbing. However, these substances were not considered contributing factors in his death. Dr. Kendall Von Crowns, a chief medical examiner, stated that the alcohol was equivalent to a beer, and the ketamine could have been administered as anesthesia in the hospital.

The autopsy report also detailed the desperate attempts of doctors to save Lee's life during a four-hour surgery. They tried to close two wounds in his heart and another in his left lung, but Lee eventually died on the operating table.

Nima Momeni, a colleague of Lee's in the technology sector, has been charged with his murder. Momeni's arraignment was postponed to May 18. Authorities confirmed that Lee and Momeni knew each other and were in a vehicle together shortly before the stabbing.

Paula Canny, Momeni's attorney, stated that the toxicology report would play a role in her client's defense. She requested a delay in Momeni's arraignment because she was not ready to set a date for a preliminary hearing.

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins stated that no one deserves to be killed, regardless of whether they had used drugs.

Documents from the district attorney's office described events leading up to the stabbing. A close friend of Lee's had been invited to an apartment where Lee was drinking with a woman, later identified as Momeni's sister. Lee eventually invited the woman to his hotel room, but she declined.

Later, Momeni inquired about his sister's activities, and Lee assured him that nothing inappropriate had happened. Lee and the witness then left for Lee's apartment, while Momeni later met up with Lee at his sister's apartment building.

Security footage showed Momeni and Lee entering an elevator together, driving in Momeni's BMW, and then stopping at a secluded area on Main Street. The video captured the two individuals appearing to separate after a sudden movement. The authorities believe Lee was then stabbed three times, with one of the wounds directly penetrating his heart and causing his death.

A kitchen knife was found near the scene, and the district attorney said they had "proof beyond a reasonable doubt" that Momeni committed the murder. A text message from Momeni's sister to Lee revealed concern for Lee's well-being after the incident.
