Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril closes January 4, 2027, at Disneyland Paris for a renovation expected to last several months. Disney has announced the closing date but has yet to name a reopening day. It is one of several attraction changes that could affect a 2027 visit, alongside the ongoing refurbishment of Crush’s Coaster and a planned new version of Space Mountain. Why is the Indiana Jones ride closing?
The Adventureland coaster opened in 1993. Disney describes the upcoming work as its most extensive renovation since opening. Crews will rebuild parts of the temple scenery and work on track supports, rails and footbridges. The queue’s wooden walkways will be rebuilt, and the campsite props and 4×4 vehicle will be restored. The lighting around the attraction and its nearby shop is also due for an update. Disneyland Paris’s plans for the coaster
What else is changing at Disneyland Paris in 2027?
- Crush’s Coaster. The Finding Nemo coaster at Disney Adventure World has been closed since September 7, 2026. Disney’s published reopening window is summer 2027. Use that as a season, rather than a confirmed date for booking. Disneyland Paris’s Crush’s Coaster announcement
- Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain. Disney announced that its Star Wars version will make way for Space Mountain: De la Terre à la Lune, with the Jules Verne-inspired theme and original score returning. This is a separate project at Disneyland Park. Disney Parks Blog’s D23 announcement
What to check before booking a 2027 trip
Start with the date and the park that contains your must-do attraction. The Indiana Jones coaster is in Disneyland Park, and Crush’s Coaster is in Disney Adventure World. Check your visit date in the official calendar, which lists opening hours and scheduled closures by park, and make sure your ticket covers the park you plan to visit. Disneyland Paris park calendar
If Indiana Jones is the reason for your trip and you can travel before January 4, check its availability for that earlier date. If you are choosing dates for its return, the detail to wait for is a reopening day in Disney’s calendar. A closure lasting several months leaves too much uncertainty to choose a particular spring weekend around the ride.
